Woman caught hiding in cardboard box during drug search of Ohio home: report

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKRC) - Authorities allegedly caught a woman hiding in a cardboard box while searching for drugs in an Ohio home.

According to WFMJ, Jamika Dates was taken into custody alongside David Poyssick after she was allegedly found hiding inside a cardboard box in the attic of a home in Youngstown, Ohio.

The outlet reported that agents with the Mahoning Valley Violent Crimes Task Force searched the home at around 9 a.m. Wednesday. After arriving at the door of the residence, authorities announced their presence, but received no response.

Agents, joined by officers with the Youngstown Police Department, forced their way through the back door and apprehended Poyssick as he was coming up from the basement, WFMJ reported.

Authorities then moved to the attic, where they allegedly caught Dates hiding in a cardboard box, per the outlet.

While searching the residence, authorities discovered the following, according to WFMJ:

According to WFMJ, Dates was wanted on a failure-to-appear warrant from Trumbull County, Ohio and was taken to the Trumbull County Justice Center. She pled not guilty to the following charges, per the outlet:

Poyssick, meanwhile, will appear in court Wednesday to face charges of possession of crack cocaine, the station reported.
